Gumboot Dancing

Gumboot dancing, an art form that originated in the mines of South Africa by the mineworkers who were forbidden to talk has come to Quest.  Though the dancers here are not enslaved workers in mines, they share the same passion for life, a passion clearly demonstrated through gumboot dancing.  It is an art that celebrates the use of the human body as an instrument and the liberty one can find in movement, even while in chains.  Stomp, Dance, and Live!

Stomp, Clap, and Snap
